Neonode N2: it's hardly an iPhone killer
The second generation phone from Neonode is just one of the many mobiles being touted as an iPhone clone, bit it doesn't come close in either giving a wow factor or in its touchscreen abilities.
Check out this video that's been doing the Net rounds and see for yourself, then read on for the snark.
OK, ruling out the awful background music to the video (Apple would never do that, right?) which we probably can't blame Neonode themselves for, here's why it's not an iPhone killer:
- The gesturing system just feels clunky compared to the slick, intuitive version that Apple have on the iPhone
- The iPhone surely wouldn't allow you to start playing a movie upside-down - it would self-right the content thanks to its sensors.
- The GUI just isn't as pretty as what OS X has to offer
- The Neonode's screen is a paltry 2 inches compared to 3.5 inches on the iPhone
