Apple's iPhone: The art of good timing
Scott Goldberg at Digital Media Wire writes an interesting piece on Apple and the art of good timing in which he suggests that Apple could be poised to break into markets with both the Apple TV and the iPhone.
Apple has already taught everyone a lesson it seems poised to teach again: Good timing with consumer products has more to do with well-timed anticipation than anything else. In other words the timing should fall just before something erupts.
Though he says, as many others do, that the cell phone industry is too well established and its evolution is too fast for the iPhone to become standard, he wouldn't rule it out, either.
Apple is the weatherman who predicts it’s going to rain when the black clouds have already started rolling in. But the way that weatherman beats competitors is with a better looking show. And nobody beats Apple’s show.
Hear hear.
