iPhone appears fleetingly at CTIA Conference
AT&T briefly showed off the iPhone at a keynote speech by their COO Randall Stephenson.
He claimed that it was the first time he'd tried to use the iPhone, and would be a good test of its user-friendliness.
"You talk about something that brings ease-of-use into play, this is it. The ability to get video onto the phone, in a number of different formats and ways — this is a terrific product."
OK, you wouldn't expect him to say anything negative about the iPhone, but it's a nice bit of PR.
He didn't get long with it, though. Thirty seconds and it was back to be locked up at Apple HQ. Who knows where it would've ended up otherwise.
