Jajah to offer free VoIP-like calls to iPhone users
The Jajah Mobile Web service will be available to iPhone users when the device launches in June, it has been claimed. This will allow users to make free calls to other devices using the software simply by entering the mobile.jajah.com web address into the web browser and then entering their username and password.
It bypasses the user's cellphone network charges by getting the Jajah service to call both handsets via VoIP - in other words, both users are receiving calls.
According to the Jajah blog:
"We are going to bring Jajah Mobile to the iPhone as soon as it becomes available. It’s not every day that someone changes the landscape of an industry with a single product announcement, but Apple has become known for it. The iPhone promises to change the way we think of mobile computing and communication the same way the iPod changed the way we think about music."
