LG Prada is no iPhone killer
LG can kick up a stink all they like about how similar the iPhone is to their Prada, but I'm not the only one who can see that LG's offering is no iPhone killer.
Simon Garfinkel at Technology Review has researched the Prada and finds it lacking when sat next to Apple's slinky offering.
The only similarity he comes up with is that both the iPhone and the KE850 have a big touch screen.
Differences, on the other hand, are plentiful.
- iPhone is GSM quad-band, Prada is tri-band
- Despite the iPhone's hefty price being criticised, the Prada will cost more, and the iPhone comes with a two year contract
- The Prada has none of the sensors the iPhone has
- The Prada's screen resolution is 400x240, whilst the iPhone's is 480x320.
- The Prada has no wi-fi
Bottom line? The Prada just isn't that strong when pitted against the iPhone.
