Should we care about iPhone's rank in mobile phone popularity listings? No
Brighthand has published its monthly listing of the top 10 most popular handsets and smartphones based upon what its visitors are clicking on.
Last month, the iPhone dropped to position 7, down from position 5 in January.
Does it matter?
Let's look. From what I can tell, all of the other phones on that list are in production nd being sold.
Brighthand say:
This listing doesn't necessarily indicate which models are the best selling, just which ones Brighthand readers are most interesting in learning more about.
So maybe users are finding out about the iPhone elsewhere (iphonic.tv, for example, a most excellent example). A drop in the table when up against available phones doesn't mean much at all, as far as I'm concerned.
Just for interests sake, top of the list is the Samsung BlackJack, followed up by the Palm Treo 750, and the HP iPAQ rx5915 Travel Companion. The list goes on.
Remember, the iPhone hasn't been released yet...
