Another rumoured iPhone design flaw: slippery case
Oh look, here's another rumour about a supposed design flaw in the iPhone, from some secret source that has probably never even touched the hallowed device, letalone discovered a fault.
According to MacScoop's source, the iPhone's casing is slippery, meaning that it has the potential to be unintentionally dropped (as opposed to the times when you intentionally drop your phone, I suppose).
Yes, this person has touched it, and says it's even more slippery than the iPod, and will probably require a protective skin or case.
I'd be more concerned about damaging the screen, so would likely get a protective skin/case anyway.
Let's face it, though, unless you're planning to do Wii movements with it (which isn't an impossibility, given that the internal motion sensors could make for an interesting gaming experience) you're not so butter-fingered as to drop it, are you?
