LG's touchscreen clamshell phone patent doesn't threaten the iPhone

MacNN, amongst others, are reporting on LG's latest patents which seem to suggest a clamshell mobile phone with two touchscreens.

The "Mobile Communication Terminal Having Multiple Displays" patent sees the second screen replacing a conventional keypad, and could be used with both finger or stylus.

A second patent is described as "Mobile terminal providing graphic user interface" and would allow icons move and react to user input, as well as contextual menu items.

Patents seem to be appearing left, right and centre at present. There's no evidence that any of these ideas have been put into a prototype by LG yet.

In any case, I'm sure Apple has plenty of its own innovative ideas for future iPhone interface features.
