Nokia N95: high demand for the 'iPhone killer'
While we don't believe that the Nokia N95 is an iPhone killer, it certainly is - dare we say it - a great-looking, highly featured multimedia device.
It's reported to be doing very well in the US and Australia. Nokia Australia's communications manager, Louise Ingram, told iTWire, "Dick Smiths, Strathfield and All Phones definitely have it in stock, we expect other retail channels to follow this week as the stock filters from warehouse to store. There has been a lot of pent-up demand for this product so early indications are very pleasing."
The situation in the US is similar, with boutique stores in New York selling out of N95s within the day.
In the UK, the Carphone Warehouse has limited each customer to a single N95 due to high demand.
