55% of US consumers would buy a Google Phone - if it existed
A recent survey by Equs suggests that 55% of US consumers would buy a mobile phone created by either Google or Yahoo.
This displays a huge level of trust in the two search giants, despite the fact that they've never entered the mobile arena before. Perhaps this is the same trust placed upon Apple and the iPhone?
The survey also found that 69% of consumers use mobile search tools on their mobile phones. This could also bode well for Apple, who have penned a deal with Google to have search software available on the iPhone.
In any case, Google appear not to be working on a phone, and the Y!Phone was just an April Fool joke.
