Apple boosts battery life claim
When the iPhone's specifications were first released, it looked as if five hours was the most one could expect to get from the device.
However, in statement released today by Steve Jobs, Apple's CEO, talk time has increased to eight hours - claiming it to be longer than rival devices.
That extended battery life would also give six hours of Internet usage, seven hours of video playback, or 24 hours of audio playback.
Additionally, standby time is cited at around 250 hours.
