Apple employees to get a free iPhone

There must be plenty of perks to being an Apple employee - the latest being that every one of their US workers will be given a free iPhone.

Cool.

Apple has nearly 18,000 employees on record, the vast majority of whom will work in the US. It's not clear whether employees will also get any discount on a calling plan. Presumably there won't be any problem getting their iPhones to function correctly at work!

They will have to wait until the end of July to get their mitts on one - still that's a small price to pay for a free phone, and I'm sure there'll be a few floating around their Cupertino offices.
