AT&T to boost its EDGE network before iPhone launch
According to Apple Insider, AT&T has launched an internal operation aimed at boosting the data speeds on its 2.5G EDGE network ahead of the iPhone's launch on June 29th.
Operation "Fine Edge" has been running for about six weeks. AT&T engineers are said to be "dropping in more T-1 lines" into the poorest performing towers, with the aim of doubling the network's minimum performance from 40kbps to 80kbps.
OK, but we want a 3G iPhone!
