iPhone: finally an official launch date: June 29th
After months of speculation, and a lot of rumours about the exact date in June that the iPhone would finally launch in the US, Apple has put us out of our misery.
The iPhone will officially hit AT&T and Apple Stores on Friday, July 29th.
Apple has started TV advertising for the iPhone, and the videos are also available on their web site.
The ads focus on the musical abilities of the iPhone, taking it far above what an iPod can do, as well as core functions such as email, movies, and making a phone call.
If anyone in the US hasn't heard of the iPhone already, they will now.
