iRiver W10: another iPhone 'clone' with VoIP and simulated GPS
Several people are touting this iRiver W10 as a great iPhone clone - even suggesting it "looks a lot like the iPhone".
Can we please have some free eye tests handed out? The iRiver W10 does not look like the iPhone. Yes, it's got a 3 inch colour touch screen, but it's square, and white, and doesn't have Apple's unique multi-touch system.
The pictures on Electronista show both portrait and landscape modes, but there's no mention of this being changed automatically when the phone is rotated.
It also has "simulated GPS" - which is supposed to work by approximating the phone's position relative to the nearest Wi-Fi spot. Good luck on getting that working...
Its audio and video playback features are arguably better than the iPhone, including WMA, WMV, and an FM radio. It will use miniSD cards for storage.
No release date or price yet available.
