Japan's NTT DoCoMo network keen to get the iPhone
According to Masao Nakamura, CEO of Japan's largest mobile phone operator NTT DoCoMo, he would really like to partner with Apple to bring the iPhone to Japan.
Apple would need to make the iPhone work with a third-generation network - something that's not an issue in the States, but is essential in Japan.
Nakamura's comments come as his company introduce unlimited wireless Internet access for computers at a flat rate, in a bid to stop customers moving to rival firms. They already offer flat rate mobile phone users.
"Data services can no longer be pay-per-use," he said.
