Pure Mobile offer unlocked iPhone: no contract required. Eh?
Eagle-eyed CrunchGear is crying foul over a sales page at Pure Mobile (nice bit of free advertising there, eh?) which claims to offer an unlocked iPhone which can be used on any GSM network in North America, contract free.
Details are vague. It will be available "soon", yet there's no price attached to it.
How on earth Pure Mobile expect to get hold of iPhones is another matter. Apple has made it quite clear that the iPhone will only be available via Apple and AT&T Stores, and with a two-year contract. Someone has to pay for that.
It's rather suspicious. Anyone with cast iron information on how this deal is possible feel free to leave a comment below.
