IndustryWeek magazine becomes one of iPhone's first digital magazines
IndustryWeek has become one of the first magazines to be delivered electronically, for free, to iPhone users using a beta version of software developed by Texterity.
The "iPhone Interface & Portal" (beta) allows iPhone users free access to a number of publications, initially set at 23, but expanding if successful.
The portal gives access to all magazines from a single URL, and makes full use of the iPhone's interface and Safari browser. It has "One-Click" access to any magazine, with the ability to browse through all the magazine thumbnails, and seamless integration of the popular digital magazine features, including Table of Contents, Search, and Share (Send to a Friend) from the iPhone interface.
"Cross-platform, digital magazine delivery and mobile access are key elements of our audience marketing strategies for all of our more than 110 leading trade magazines," said Blair Johnson, Vice President, Business Development, Penton Media. "We're extremely pleased that IndustryWeek will be among the first publications available to users of Apple's advanced iPhone platform, through this release of Texterity's new reader."
