JAJAH invite AT&T customers to free their iPhone
JAJAH, who back in March said they'd be offering VOIP-like calls for iPhone users, has announced the launch of its "Free Your iPhone" campaign, promoting itself as the best solution for making long-distance and international phone calls from an iPhone.
With AT&T, it costs 23 cents per minute to call Europe, but JAJAH claim their service will cut that down to just 3 cents per minute.
"JAJAH is the killer app for the iPhone," said Roman Scharf, JAJAH co-founder. "It's revolutionary — by bringing VoIP rates to your iPhone, JAJAH saves you so much money you can easily pay for your iPhone with the money you save on international calls."
There were concerns that AT&T would block JAJAH's service, but no mention is made of that in the recent press release.
JAJAH says that their service can be signed up for confidentially, though I'm sure AT&T still know who's doing what on their network. Even so, they're still making a fairly handsome monthly revenue on contracts, so they shouldn't complain too much.
