Post-launch iPhone survey suggests 32% plan on buying one
A fairly extensive post-launch iPhone survey suggests that 32% of those who don't currently own one are considering purchasing one, with 8% saying they'd buy within the next 3 months, and 22% some time after.
Almost 9 out of 10 of the 39,000 respondents had heard of the iPhone, with a larger proportion of the younger age-group (18-24s) having seen it. They're also more likely to buy it (40%) compared with 36% of 25-34s, and 33% of 35-44 year-olds.
“It’s interesting to see that Americans, especially those under 45, continue to seek more functionality, including music, movies, internet and wireless, in a single package. According to our research, the iPhone frenzy should continue in line with increasing demand for emerging technology”, said Anne Hedde, President and Group CEO of Lightspeed Research, in the press release.
