Israelis hack iPhone
Hacking the iPhone is the latest global craze, it seems, with the news that a group of Israeli computer engineers — Dubbi, Eli and Ofir — have been successful in hacking the iPhone to allow it work on local networks. They also installed a Hebrew interface, for good measure.
One wonders if Apple will be so harsh on those who unlock iPhones in countries that are very unlikely to see an official launch. Though they won't make any ongoing revenue from a contract or phone calls, the US and certain European countries could provide an underground export market for the iPhone.
