Latest iPhone software update improvements debatable
Apple's latest software update for the iPhone, taking it to version 1.0.2, had some users reporting that it had boosted their wireless reception, or improved call volume. Results were not universally acknowledged, however.
Apple's official word on the update was that it fixed bugs. Perhaps poor, improvable Wi-Fi reception counted as a bug.
Again, Apple's update erased any modifications users may have added to get third-party applications onto the iPhone.
