Second iPhone battery lawsuit looms
If one lawsuit over the iPhone battery isn't enough, here comes another one.
One Sydney Leung has filed the lawsuit on behalf of a group "that could reach into hundreds of thousands of iPhone users", and is seeking over five million dollars in compensatory and punitive damages, because Apple and AT&T allegedly committed fraud by not fully informing customers about the costs and procedures for replacing the battery.
I think Apple and AT&T should file a lawsuit against idiots who:
(a) don't read up about a product before it's bought (you'd have thought they'd want to do something while queuing in line for one)
and
(b) file misleading, erroneous legal challenges.
The iPhone battery does NOT have to be replaced after 300 charges. It is likely to fall to 80% capacity after 400 charges. There's a big difference.
