$100 "early adopter" rebate can be used on iTunes
There has been a lot of talk about the $100 rebate Steve Jobs offered to early adopting iPhone users who were miffed about the recent price cut.
Some are still complaining, despite the fact that they freely chose to buy an iPhone in the first few days of its launch.
Others would've preferred cash, though the presence of shareholders meant that was never going to happen.
Some have been reporting that it's not possible to buy music, ringtones, and videos on iTunes with the rebate. In fact, though it can't be done directly, it's possible to buy iTunes gift cards from the Apple Store and purchase media that way.
One generous user even suggested that he'd give his $100 rebate to a PC user wanting to switch to a Mac.
