Apple and Orange may be at loggerheads over French iPhone deal
One generally expects that when the CEO of a company announces a product, that makes it official, but it seems that DIdier Lombard spoke prematurely about the iPhone coming to France, with several news agencies reporting that France Telecom and Apple have yet to agree on what percentage of monthly revenue should be shared.
This means that the Apple France web site is still eerily silent on the matter, with only a month-and-a-bit to go until the UK and Germany get their iPhones.
It's not clear whether the whole deal is in jeopardy, so we'll just have to wait until we get a really official announcement - probably from Apple.
