Australian consumers doubtful over iPhone success?
If a recent CRN poll is indicative of the population as a whole, Australians are tentative about how successful the iPhone will be, if and when it hits their shores.
Though 39% said they thought the iPhone would be a success, 19% said it would take time to catch on, while 42% said it would flop.
The major problem for consumers, speculatively at least, is the price. However, the editor of PC Authority magazine said that he, too, was sceptical until he actually got hold of an iPhone.
After that, he could see what the hype was about, and could justify getting hold of one.
I can see a lot of Australians doubting the iPhone at first, but once you’ve seen the iPhone interface for yourself, you could soon be moving into the “justification thought process” that comes before the gadget purchase.
