iPhone creating lazy typists?

Gregory at iPhone Matters has written an interesting piece claiming that the iPhone's text entry system, while very good, is making him a lazier typist.

I didn’t grasp typing fast on the iPhone too quickly. Then I realized that even if I blazed through and didn’t care if it was keyed in correctly, the predictive typing fixed everything. It was wonderful. Now I was typing like a pro!

The problem is my fingers started moving faster than they used to and predictive typing does not follow me on my Powerbook. Hmm, I’m going to have to slow down again.

Perhaps we now need the iPhone's predictive text system built in to OS X, as well?
