Dr Pepper embraces iPhone with first "advergame"

Excuse the new piece of marketing jargon in the title, but Dr Pepper seems to have coined it - or at least are using it. Lest it be misunderstood, an "advergame" (I'm worried that my spell checker accepted that) is a game with some kind of product placement within in.
Matchcaps is just such a game. "With the launch of this advergame, Dr Pepper can interact virtually with its consumers anytime, anywhere through their iPhones," said Andrew Springate, vice president of Dr Pepper marketing.
Maybe this is the way that companies will increasingly get their products in front of mobile eyeballs.
Currently using the Safari web browser, Dr Pepper says it is keen to develop a native application for the iPhone whenever a full software development kit for third party developers becomes available.
