T-Mobile Germany will sell iPhone without contract
Following Vodafone Germany's injunction against T-Mobile, Apple's official German telco provider has confirmed that it will now sell the iPhone without a minimum-term contract, if the consumer asks for it.
The sting? It'll cost €999 (around £720), which means that you'll be only marginally better off than taking the contract and having access to the complete feature set.
T-Mobile also said that they'd remove the SIM lock for any customer that asked for it. Presumably Apple won't be happy about either of these outcomes, though it may have little choice thanks to differing European laws.
