Apple increases iPhone purchase limit from two to five, still no cash
An Apple representative has confirmed that the company has raised the customer limit on iPhone purchases from two to five.
Carl Howe, from Blackfriars, said that this was likely more to do with encouraging strong holiday sales, than any change in the policy of trying to discourage and restrict iPhone unlocking.
WIRED speculates that the increased allowance, effectively immediately in all countries where the iPhone is sold, could point to poorer than expected sales in Europe. There's no official word on why Apple has chosen to lift the limits now.
