Canadians sign online petition for iPhone

Do online petitions work? 365 Canadians and counting are hoping so, as they've signed one to plead for Apple to bring the iPhone to Canada.

They're trying to reach 100,000 signatures, so have quite a bit further to go. Mind you, the petition only started last Friday.

Here are the pledges:

We, the undersigned, pledge our support to Rogers Communications Inc., that we would support the launch of the iPhone in Canada.

We pledge that if the iPhone was released in Canada by Rogers Communications Inc. and Apple Inc, we would purchase an iPhone along with a monthly data plan.

We pledge to spread the word to our friends and family to promote the sale of iPhones in Canada.

Please recognize the demand for the iPhone in Canada. Or at least, please give us a release date to look forward to. Thank you.

Surely Canada can't be too far down Apple's list now?
