iPhone browser to get image saving capability, latest beta suggests
The latest iPhone SDK beta software seems to have thrown out an interesting new feature which could allow any image in Safari to be saved to the iPhone's photo library for use in other applications.
By tapping an image in Safari and holding your finger down, a context menu appears -- much like it does on a desktop browser -- which includes the option to save the photo.
Once there, it would seem possible to use the pictures as wallpaper, in email, and as a contact icon.
It'll be a nice feature if it materialises.
