RIM allegedly doing something iPhone-ish
In what has to be one of the most obscure iPhone-related rumours yet, Apple Insider has published a snippet of a job advertisement from Research In Motion (makers of the BlackBerry):
"As part of a newly-created team, you'll influence the development and design of BlackBerry software. This is a very confidential brand new team and a senior position within RIM so I can't provide too many details. I guess you can figure out what it might be about though."
Apparently, this has something to do with the iPhone. Requirements listed includes having experience of Mac development, which is where the speculation arises, as well as other Apple-centric expertise. However, this could just as easily be a Mac-related project rather than an iPhone-specific one.
Whatever's going on, it is shrouded in secrecy. It could be a move aimed at limiting any damage that a 3G iPhone with Exchange support and third-party apps might do to RIM.
