Truphone announces on-the-go top-up service and low balance alerts

Truphone has announced a number of new features which should ensure that its users don't run out of call credit while using the service out and about.

Customers can top-up while on the go, either via a mobile-optimised Web page or automated telephone top-up service.

Truphone will send "low balance" SMS alerts when a customer's credit is nearly used up.

"We've fully addressed the issues of topping-up credit while on the move, because running out is one of the most irritating things for any mobile phone user," said Gavin Miller, Truphone's director of customer services. "We listened to a range of suggestions from our customers, and we've acted on all of them. No one ever needs to find they are unable to use Truphone."
