Truphone launches Anywhere service for local-cost international calling
Truphone has announced that its Anywhere service is now available for the iPhone, allowing users to make international and long distance calls by simply dialling a local number, with the rest of the call being connected via VoIP.
Users can also receive calls via the service, allowing for free calls between two iPhones.
It will now cost as low as three pence (six cents) per minute. The service works in 33 countries around the world, and there's no procedure to remember in order to use the service - simply dial an international number when not using Wi-Fi and Truphone Anywhere asks whether to make the call via the service.
Inbound calls work when connected to a Wi-Fi network.
