iPhone Application Watch: RjDj named Gizmodo's best iPhone app of 2008
Gizmodo has named the "reactive music" application RjDj one of the best iPhone applications of 2008.
Developed by a number of the team behind last.fm, it incorporates sounds and movements from the outside world into music, allowing users to sample and beatbox with whatever sounds are available around them.
In addition to creating an engaging new experience for the listener, RjDj
also enables artists to create tracks that are unique every time they are
played and is now in discussions with mainstream artists to publish music
through the App Store.
"We are effectively building a bridge between the music an artist creates in a studio and the environment that their listeners are in so they can create a soundtrack for their life and expand the amount of time their fans spend with their music," Michael Breidenbruecker, founder at RjDj.
