Zikmu: the iPhone-friendly wireless stereo speakers
Fancy a home audio system that talks to your iPod or iPhone but don't want a tiny speaker system or wires trailing everywhere?
Bit of style too?
In that case, the Zikmu wireless stereo speaker system could be just what you're looking for.
Designed by Philippe Starck, this unusual pair of speakers features a built-in three-channel Class D digital amplifier and pumps out 100W total RMS.
You can dock your favourite Apple portable media player straight into one of the speaker columns, while there's also an audio line input for connecting other devices.
The two speakers communicate using Bluetooth and feature NXT's 360˚ immersive sound technology that means sound envelops you regardless of where you're sitting.
Everything can be controlled remotely using the NFC unit -- not even line-of-sight required for that. Sweet.
This style and technological sophistication doesn't come cheap, though. A pair will set you back a cool £1200 when they launch in the spring.
