iPhone Application Watch: ITN's free video news app rockets up the charts

ITN's new video news application for the iPhone and iPod Touch - ITN News - offers up a range of ITN's content including UK, world, sport, and fun stories in the "And Finally..." style, featuring text, images and high quality mobile video content.

Not only does it allow information to be viewed while connected via Wi-Fi, but it also downloads data so that it can be used offline (on the Tube, for example). It also has a viral element, allowing users to share ITN stories and videos with friends.

In its first week it is the most downloaded free news application and the eighth most downloaded free app overall.
