Why I've gone naked with my iPhone
What I mean is, I've stripped away all the cases that trapped my iPhone in a (supposedly) protective environment, and by doing so fallen in love with it all over again.
My iPhone 3G has been sitting around inside its Griffin Elan Form for over six months now, and it's had enough.
I've already written about the dangers of some cases, and the fact that you can actually do more damage to your beloved iPhone than if you'd left it naked in the first place.
Sure, the iPhone has a few scratches on the back from the times that the case had to be removed and a particle of grit had got caught in there, but it's still looking pretty darn hot, just as Apple intended.
It's so much nicer to use, too. Its thinness is apparent once more, without the bulk of the hard case. Gaming is better. The controls are more easily accessible. I ditched the stupid plastic protector screen months ago because it wasn't picking up all my gestures.
Now, granted, some protection is better than others. The Clear Armor stuff looks pretty good. However, I'm prepared to take the risk by keeping my iPhone au naturelle.
