iPhone playing at Wembley
The iPhone (and iPod Touch) have, perhaps surprisingly, become quite popular amongst musicians, particularly those dabbling in synth and ambient styles, so it's rather fitting that the iPhone will be used during a Take That support act at Wembley in July.
Gary Baker's music was heard by Gary Barlow, who must've liked it so much that he invited him to play live.
"I think it's pretty amazing that I'm going to be using a mobile phone on stage at Wembley Stadium in front of so many people. I grew up behind the stadium, and used to listen to concerts in my back garden," said Baker (stagename Go).
His album comes out on 11th May, and all the demo tracks were laid down using a four track recording studio installed on his iPhone.
It's a shame that the video output of the iPhone is restricted, as there could be some pretty cool visual effects hooked up to large screens otherwise.
