Careful! Your iPhone obsession is boring all your mates
Do you use your iPhone incessantly?
Do you boast about the latest cool app you've downloaded (there's an app for just about everything, as the increasingly annoying Apple TV ads tell us)
Do you find your friends slinking away when you approach them, excitedly clutching your phone?
If so, then you're probably an iBore
Britain's Five News and YouGov conducted a survey which found that over a quarter of all adults in the UK know someone who's an iBore - someone who is constantly checking their iPhone and just can't wait to show off the latest software application.
Interestingly, more men (29%) knew an iBore than women (24%) did, and those in London, East England, the South East and The Humber were the worst afflicted.
I guess it's possible to be enthusiastic about your iPhone without shoving it down everyone else's throat. Use it and enjoy it, but learn to spot the signs that your mates may have had enough.
The irony is that most people like to show off the cool new mobile phone they've got. I suppose the thing about the iPhone is that it stays cool for much longer.
So, show off but don't overdo it. Maybe leave your iPhone at home from time to time?
